Skate For Alexis - March 8th

Saturday, March 8^th, 2008

A Skate-a-thon is a fun activity for the whole community. Alexis Flynn is a two year old child in our community who needs a life-saving kidney. Our goal is to help raise $60,000 to help Alexis with her transplant-related expenses. We are challenging all participants to contact at least three businesses or individuals for Alexis' cause. We want to make this SKATE FOR ALEXIS the best ever, and whatever you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.

Rules

1. Start collecting pledges as soon as you receive the pledge sheets. Pledge sheets and money need to be turned in on the day of our "Skate-for-Alexis" on March 8 . For your convenience, there will be a drop box for pledge sheets and donations at City Hall.

2. Pledges may be made by anyone. Please ask everyone who pledges if their employer has a matching gift policy that may add to the pledge.

3. Please have your sponsors write his or her name on the pledge form with their contact information and their pledge amount. Collect the pledge at the time of request. Checks need to be made payable to: COTA with Alexis F written on the memo line.

4. On the day of our "Skate-for-Alexis" at the Liewer-Olmstead Arena, each participant will skate for an hour. Participants are encouraged to bring their own skates, but skates will be available on an hourly first come basis.
