What a very special treat it was for us to celebrate our Thanksgiving weekend and Doug's 70th birthday with all our family. We are truly grateful your trip went well. Molly's expert help was also much appreciated since Gramps couldn't keep up with Jake's energy level. Alexis is truly a marvel and inspiration. House felt very empty when everyone left. We miss you all but we have wonderful memories and pictures to cling to.
God bless. Wishing you well on your return to the snow country!
Hey, Alexis!!!!! hope to see u back in DJ soon!!!!u are a trooper!!!
Hi Barb, Dave and Alexis, Rachelle and I have been thinking of you and are so glad to see and hear of the great improvement and successful surgeries - both Alexis and Barb. Wow, Alexis is walking! Now you won't be able to keep her still. It will be great to see you all home again in Delta soon.
Thanks for the updates! It is good to see things going so well. Prayers answered!

Barb & Molly,

Just a note to say hello to all of you in Seattle and to David up in Alaska.
Keeping you in our thoughts and sending hugs (via the internet)to all!
David, we were so greatful for the phone call the other day. I found your website and read Barb's blog. We are so thankful all went well and we will keep all of you in our prayers.
What a pleasure it was to be able to spend a week with all of you during this very challenging time. Barb and Alexis are remarkable patients. Thanks to so many who have been praying that this transplant would be successful and bring more life and hope to Alexis' world. She is such a sweetheart. I enjoyed my time with Jake, too and miss him already. He's got all the energy that she's missed out on for 2 years!! happy I was able to keep up with him. So glad Molly can help as Gramps seems to need me at home. He has had a bit of a setback with his heart problems and is retaining too much water. Hope I can get him back on track soon. Thanks for the photos and updates.
Thanks for the updates David. Glad to hear things are going well. Tlak to you soon.
I am logging in to tell your family that I have missed you terribaly---Praise God you are okay----Deb
We are so happy that everything is going well. We do not know you personally but my girls helped in the fundraising events through Delta Elementary School. We are nowing living in North Carolina and are just so happy that everyone is doing well.
I'm so glad things are going well for Alexis in Seattle. Hope Barb is doing well, too. Hope to see you guys around town soon. My daughter Emmie had kidney/bladder surgery there in 1999, you're in a great hospital. Our prayers are with your family. Marybethe
Hi David and Barb-- thank God that both mommy and Alexis are okay. We have been praying for you every day and wondering how you all are. Joe got the phone message-thank you. I am so glad to hear word about Alexis. Are you taking calls now? FYI, Joe was offered an electrician job with Boeing at FT. Greely. I think he is going to take it. We are having a beautiful Fall in Alaska- splendid colors. I miss and love you both. You will remain in our prayers. Love Deb
Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes and prayers.
The girls are doing well...all things considered. Barb kind of cycles between good and bad days and has a tendency to overdue it sometimes. When she rests and takes her pain meds then she is generally good.
Alexis makes progress everyday and has now been moved from the ICU to the 4th Floor surgical recovery ward (rm 4007...206-987-2000). She is not allowed to have flowers in her room...but I bought her a Dora and a Mickey Mouse balloon today. She really like these.
We met with the pharmacists today about the immuno-suppressant drug regime that Alexis is on and will eventually be sent home with. This won't be easy but we think we can manage it.
I should be back in Delta on 14Sept08. The girls will likely have to stay until the end of October and Alexis will likely be in the hospital for another week at least.
Regards to all!
Barb,
I am really glad that the surgery went well for you and Alexis!
Raul called me and kept me informed!
Hope for a speedy recovery for the both of you! I know that you were pleased to find out the surgery for Alexis went well and that the kidney was functioning as it should.
I have been calling every day for new status.
Joel
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your medical staff and family.
